PAINT + PORTRAITURE

When I created these images, I was inspired by the connection art and how one's personality is reflected in our creative choices. I invited several models into the photo studio and presented them with a 16x24 canvas, the three primary colors, and an assortment of paintbrushes. The sitter was then told to cover roughly 90% of the canvas in any way they like. A portrait session followed the painting activity, and the results of merging the painting and the subject into a photoshop composite are what you see below. Each painting lends itself to the mood and personality of each subject, experienced artists and novices alike.
