This year, a client approached me with interest in building her branding and logo from the ground up. The client, who founded and presides over a non-profit organization aimed at providing survivors of domestic and sexual abuse with affordable access to fitness classes that will get their heart pumping, relieve stress, and give them a boost of endorphins that will make it easier to get through the recovery process. We settled on the use of a lotus for the logo, as it is a flower which grows through harsh conditions, and this felt like the perfect metaphor for the organization's purpose.
