FEMININE CARE

While researching object photography, I was captivated by the phrase "taking every day items and elevating them" - which became my goal with this assignment. Because feminine care products are generally considered gross, I wanted to take these objects, which are vital to an important biological function for every woman, and elevate them to feel clean, simple, and beautiful in editorial-style images. I then posted them in grid format on an actual street in Waco, TX. The result, while similar to propaganda in presentation, is an appealing pastel pattern, and it's only when one gets close do they really notice the "repulsive" products.
